Setting Up DreamHost DNS for Posterous.
Important, when you set up your domain at DreamHost, remember you're creating a DNS Only
site. That is: Domain Manager > DNS only (last item on page.).
This is what it looks like.
What messed with me was having to also add the www A record. Maybe that's all I really needed.
To add the A record simply add the IP info you get from Posterous into the Value field and hit
Add Record Now.
To add the www A record, first type www into the Name field before the .YourDomainName.com
Then add the IP address and hit Add Record Now. You can see the IP address that was in use
at the time I configured my Posterous. They seem to have changed it though to 66.216.125.32
The domain was registered at GoDaddy so first I followed the directions in the Posterous Help file.
Which worked fine. But I wanted an iAccidentally.com email address so I moved it over to Dream
Host.
